We meet the following needs of the children –
1. Basic Needs
- Including nutrition, shelter, transportation, clothing, medical, optical, dental, spiritual, emotional, and social requirements
2. Educational Needs
- Enrollment of children in hill tribe school
- Provide Christian education for four hours a week
- Tutoring in Thai, Lahu and English language studies
3. Cultural Needs
- Enable children to assimilate into Thai culture by encouraging participation in school and community events
- Maintain cultural identities by studying Lahu language and traditional practices, including dancing, sewing, and singing
4. Vocational Training
- Grow a vegetable garden
- Raise animals such as fish and chickens
These activities help to train the children become responsible and skilled, and also help HOU to become more self-sufficient
