Wanching is the eldest of four siblings, comprising three sisters and a brother, all of whom currently reside at the House of Union Hostel. She is a 12-year-old girl who is currently studying in the fifth grade at Sahasak secondary school located in Chiang Rai province. Her father was incarcerated when she was young, and her mother remarried a man who subsequently abandoned them to live with another woman. Consequently, in 2021, Wanching was unable to attend school as her mother could not support her and her siblings. However, since relocating to the HOU hostel, she has discovered happiness and forged many friendships, which has significantly enhanced her life.
Despite her arduous circumstances, Wanching has not relinquished her academic ambitions . She is an academic achiever at HOU and school and assists her mother in caring for her siblings at the hostel as her mother lives far away. Her aspiration is to become a teacher in the future, enabling her to help children in comparable situations in her village school and inspire them to study diligently, break the cycle of impoverishment, and transform their lives.
